Past Events
Saturday, October 11, 2008 - BPW presented the movie Iron Jawed Angels at the Broadway Theatre. They had no vote, no political clout, no equal rights. But what they lacked under the law, they made up for with brains, determination and courage. Oscar-winner Hilary Swank leads an outstanding cast in the inspirational true story of two women who dared to make a stand for women's rights, and ended up securing women's right to vote. This extraordinary struggle took place less than 100 years ago and shows those of us in the year 2008, the sacrifices made to gain the vote in the U.S. Remember, the struggle to obtain the vote occurred in Canada too.Thank you to Mike Yee of Rogers Video for his extraordinary efforts to locate the requisite copies of this video.
September 29, 2008 - An All Candidates Forum
Candidates from each political party were invited to present. In attendance were Lynne Yelich - Conservative Party, Deb Ehman - Liberal Party, Amber Jones - Green Party, and Nettie Wiebe - New Democratic Party.
The event included candidates' presentations and Q&A from the floor.

Workplace Harassment and Bullying Experience Panel Presentation Due to the success and high degree of interest in this past event, the written materials from it have been made available on a newly created Workplace Harassment and Bullying Experience web page.
A Message From Our President
Are you a woman looking for a dynamic, forward thinking group to be a part of?
Experienced. Empowered. Motivated.
Business & Professional Women's Club of Saskatoon are representative of the dynamic and everchanging world we live in. Our group includes women from a broad range of occupations and professions. We also welcome women in transition, who are perhaps exiting or returning to their careers.
We meet monthly to network, explore topics that are of importance to women today and to inspire and learn from each other. Our dinner meetings include time to network and reconnect with one another, a business meeting and stimulating speakers. We have two major events each year, our Silent Auction and International Women’s Day. In addition we co-sponsor the Athena Award, sponsor an Education Bursary and have an Essay Contest.
