Regular Meeting Information

Business and Professional Women's Club Saskatoon Inc. meets the first Tuesday of each month - except for January when the meeting is held on the second Tuesday - at The Saskatoon Club.

Please confirm your attendance. If you would like to join us, please contact Kelly Macsymic prior to noon on Friday.

Due to club policy if you reserve a seat, and are unable to attend, you will be invoiced. Please feel free to send another person in your place if your plans change.

Meet and greet is at 5:15, dinner is at 5:45. Dinner fees: $25 for members, $30 for non-members.

NEW FOR THIS YEAR.....PREPAID MEAL TICKETS: We will be selling Prepaid Meal Tickets for the year. [5 meal tickets for $125.00] What this means....purchase your prepaid ticket booklet of 5 and when you attend the next meeting, you present the ticket. No need to find your cheque book at each meeting. ---- Please bring $125 to the September meeting to take advantage of this time saving opportunity.

International Women's Day

International Women's Day (IWD) is a day to reflect on issues of significance to women and bring these issues to the attention of others. It is a day to appreciate the achievements that women have made in their pursuit of equality.

Each year BPW Saskatoon holds the International Women's Day Dinner and Awards to celebrate. The evening is comprised of a seated dinner, award presentations, and keynote speaker presentation.

Awards presented at the event include the BPW Educational Bursary awards and the TD Waterhouse Aboriginal Educational Bursary award presented to women pursuing post–secondary education and in need of financial assistance.

The Athena Award program celebrates the potential of all women as valued members of the community and recognize those who support them. The Athena award honors individuals who strive towards the highest levels of professional accomplishment...women and men who excel in their chosen field, have devoted time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and have opened paths so others may follow.

The Athena Young Professional Leadership Award actively supports and celebrates the Athena mission of supporting, developing, and honoring women leaders, inspiring women to achieve their full potential—creating balance in leadership worldwide. The Athena Young Professional Leadership Award honors emerging leaders who strive toward levels personal and professional accomplishment, who excel in their chosen field, devote time and energy to their community in a meaningful way and serve as a role model for young women.

Silent Auction

The Business and Professional Women's Saskatoon Club's Silent Auction is an annual fund raiser for our education bursary given to a mature woman returning to school to better her life. Our bursary has supported less fortunate women in our community for over 60 years! And we count on women like you to help make this happen by supporting our silent auction.

BPW Saskatoon Inc. advances issues affecting women in the workplace by responding to government briefs on request, participating in provincial forums and committees, and networking with local, provincial and national women's groups.
