Experience
On April 22, 2008, BPW Saskatoon Club Inc. hosted an
evening of information, panel presentations, and roundtable discussion on
workplace harassment and bullying experience.
Due to the high degree of
interest, a written form of the majority of the presentations from that
evening, plus related relevant documentation, are available below.
Psychological
Harassment and Bullying in the Workplace - This document presents an
informative overview of workplace bullying, and how it plays out in the
workplace, complete with costs to employers. These are
the speaker's notes.

Workplace
Harassment and Bullying Experience Workshop Notes - As part of the
process, we ended our evening with some brainstorming in small groups around
the areas of action, prevention and advocacy.
Workplace Harassment and
Violence Report - This is an extensive report written out of Ontario. It's
goal was to identify the range of workplace harassment, to examine the
effects of these experiences, to make recommendations for reducing the
risk of harassment, and to outline the support and legal remedies available
to women if they are harassed.

International Conference on Workplace Bullying – Sharing our Knowledge
– The 2008 conference in Montreal
seeks to provide a leading edge overview of our current knowledge of bullying
in the workplace. Registration
information is at www.bullying2008.uqam.ca. The conference will be simultaneously
translated, English to French and French to English.
Intensive Remedial
Identity Work: Responses to Workplace Bullying Trauma and Stigmatization –
This study, by Pamela Lutgen-Sandvik, investigates the phenomenon of
intensive remedial identity work by exploring responses to the trauma and
stigma of adult bullying at work.
