Bursary
BPW Saskatoon Inc. awards an educational bursary each year to a mature woman advancing her career through post-secondary education based on need.
The award is given out at a dinner meeting in March in honour of: International Women's Day
If you, or someone you know, would qualify for the bursary, please print out the Bursary Application (PDF File) (Word Document). Applications for the 2008 bursary must be received by Friday, February 8th, 2008.
Money is raised for the educational bursary through the annual Silent Auction, held on the first Tuesday in December each year. Thank you to our Silent Auction donors for their support.
Terriann Walling was awarded the BPW Educational Bursary for 2007.
ATHENA® Award
The ATHENA® Award Program celebrates the potential of all women as valued members and leaders of the community and recognizes those who support them. The ATHENA® Award honours individuals who strive toward the highest levels of professional accomplishment ... women and men who excel in their chosen field, have devoted time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and who also open paths so that others may follow.
The criteria for the ATHENA® Award are as follows:
1. The individual assists women in realizing their full leadership potential. This can be in the form of mentoring, providing employment or education opportunities, or any other demonstration of investment in the welfare, professional or otherwise, of women.
2. The individual demonstrates excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession.
3. The individual provides valuable service by contributing time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community.

International Women's Day Essay Contest
Business and Professional Women's Club Saskatoon Inc. is sponsoring an International Women's Day essay contest. We want to hear your stories and reflections about this special day.
